Dose Calibrators are an integral part of any nuclear medicine department. This tutorial is set up to focus on the main principles of operation and all of the issues related to quality control testing of this equipment. This tutorial will describe a dose calibrator, discussing the principles and the parameters it works within. Along with this, we will discuss patient related and NRC issues. We will also spend time discussing all of the necessary quality control and frequency required to keep this equipment operational.
